Erik began his financial career in 1987 in bond trading at Salomon Brothers, the legendary Wall Street firm.  He has been a financial advisor to private clients since 1995. Before founding NorthCape Wealth Management, Erik was a member of the Wells Fargo Advisor’s Chairman’s Council, a designation awarded to a limited group of financial advisors within the firm.  He was one of the top 100 producers in the entire firm, and held the Wells Fargo Private Investment Manager designation which allowed him to manage money for institutional and private clients. Erik also has the CFP® certification, a designation awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards.  In addition, he holds the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®) designation, which denotes his expertise in retirement planning.

Erik earned his undergraduate degree in Business and Marketing from Cornell University, and completed his M.B.A. in Finance from Duke University.  As an active supporter of continuing education and learning, Erik completed courses in Advanced Portfolio Theory at the Advest Institute, Harvard University.

Erik lives with his wife Gina and their three children in Williamsville, NY. He is involved in numerous charitable and community organizations including serving on the Salvation Army Advisory Board and the Eastern Hills Wesleyan Church. He is also a director on the board of Erie & Niagara Insurance Association, one of New York’s most successful property & casualty insurance cooperatives.

Away from the office, Erik is a licensed private pilot, an avid traveler, a scuba diver, a skier, and a fly-fisherman.
